Yeah, I was only there because it was the only place with more than 0 people and less than 100 ping.

Probably was an impersonator, I had a guy impersonate me once in my own server for CoD2. I'm still going to count him as a pro though.

And I don't really play competitive that much, did a season of TWL and that's about it.

Oh, is CoD2 nearly dead? I thought it was quite active.

Server browser has always been garbage.

You can't play online any Call of Duty game without a registered PunkBuster GUID, i.e. a valid CD-key and legitimate game version. Hence Miggle saying enjoy your cracked servers... all 0.5 of them, CoD2 is far too old to have a proper healthy pirate community going. Call of Duty 4 and 5 don't even have that many cracked servers, and they're all like 32-man hideous spamfests. I see them in the server browser from time to time and lul at the idiotic people that can't fork out £25.00 for what is actually a very decent online experience (well... COD2 at least).

I wouldn't exactly call CoD2 alive to be honest. Lost most of its appeal, community and competition popularity a long time ago, circa: CoD4 release.

TF2 to a degree is harder because you can really effectively 'steer' and strafe yourself in mid-air from rocket collisions and the like... you don't have to jump or trigger any air-time yourself, merely being tossed upwards by a random explosion can let you take control of your own motion. As I said earlier this makes airshots hugely challenging against good+ opponents, because there's a lot more to it than just prediction and anticipation. The prediction thing itself takes some getting used to though... I mean, with Soldiers, rockets travel a lot slower than people fly through the air. Demoman grenades are a different story but there's a lot more to TF2 airshots than the old-style hitscan gameplay. Rockets are seriously slowww.
