Obesity in America is more of a talked about topic/issue because it can/has caused actual deaths and put people in handicapped positions. Therefore it has the grounds for being a legitimate Political argument. Unfortunately it is underrated and disregarded by most politicians(mainly because they themselves and a percent of their supporters are mostly overweight/obese).

BO in the ME is not really much of an "issue" that Middle Eastern nations have. Besides the oblivious fact that most people pray 5 times a day(and therefore preform withoou thus cleansing themselves), no people have died/became handicapped over BO. Which makes it a ridiculous topic to even consider discussing.

Basically, you are trying to degrade the ME AND/OR attempting to make "Anti-Americans" on this forum appeal as racist by coming out with the argument "Oh well, the ME is full of people who stink" so that we can destroy and humiliate that argument and call us out on being racist.

2. Didn't say it was an issue in the ME, it is obvious they couldn't care less. I said, as an observation, that it stinks of BO in populated areas there. Nothing more nothing less. It is also the truth. Never made it a race issue, all you trigger happy liberals did.

3. Again, it is a TRUTHFUL observation. I didn't degrade the ME. The ME does not need my help in that area, the nightly news of their actions degrades them enough. I also never called anyone a racist. I observed ME being called a racist, while your comparison to fat people goes unoffensive

I have a number of traveler friends that can verify that the stereotype is true.  It's not like every Muslim smells, but hygiene in the Middle East differs quite a bit from here in America.

This also is apparently true of many Russians.

In general, Americans do focus more on hygiene than a lot of the rest of the world, but on the other hand, yes, we tend to be much fatter overall.

Ah, c'mon man.  The only reason I even defended lowing was because the people I've talked to mostly had good things to say about their experiences in the Middle East.  One of them is even an Islamic Studies major who may convert to Islam.   One of the only complaints he had involved the body odor issue, so given his interest in Islamic culture overall, I figured his opinion was actually slanted in favor of Muslims.  So if a guy like him is even mentioning the odor thing, I figure it must have some truth to it.
