put it in the freezer for a few hours, then drink it straight. Also, grab some pickles or something light to go with it
I like a little crushed ice and a slice of lemon.

Cranberry juice is one I like. Anything citrus or tart is good with vodka. Just don't put anything too sweet in it or else the taste of the vodka will be ruined. If you really want to maintain the flavor just add water until you can tolerate it. Don't ever forget the ice.

For classy; very cold (freezer cold), and perhaps a bit of lemon peel.
If you have the chance to run it through an activated carbon filter beforehand, more the better.
Y'know.. water purification pitchers with carbon filter? same thing.
For .. different; Chernobyl Chillers
1 liter vodka, 1 liter water, and powdered gatorade mix to taste.
Add an activated chem-light to the bottle before serving.
Between the coloration, and the chem-light - the shit glows like it's dangerous. It is.
Chem-light = cyalume light stick = raver light sticks
(Not the pre-made Gatorade liquid, it's different. )

Its also why some people who drink "proper beers" (thick ass ales with twigs and dirt floating in the glass) prefer them served room temp.
If you like the taste of vodka drink it straight. If you don't like the taste take shots and chase it with something that DOES taste good. No sense in trying to dilute something you don't enjoy drinking or trying to cover up a taste you don't enjoy. Enjoy it or get it over with.

Vodka Redbull is so stupid 1st year Freshers Uni drink. All those alcopops and all the typical drinks, it's time to move onto other shit. I myself have developed quite a taste for Hennessy's (or however it's fucking spelt)
