I need a new mouse, and right now i'm looking at the G5 and G9. Owners of those, which is better to get?

Please disregard anything related to the price- they are only £5 different so i don't care about that.

inb4 mx1000 or razerfags, razer looks like it sucks tbh _{unless you have a really compelling reason to not get logitech, it's just that i've never heard much bad about logitech, and all my other logitech shit is win} and mx1000 looks too expensive

Ok. MS wireless intellimouse explorer 2.0 ftw. Had mine for ages and hasn't given me any problems 'cept when I forgot the change the batteries.

Basically the G5, but the older model so to speak, should be realtivly cheap around now as well if price is a concern. I've had two MX518s and never had a single issue with them, best mouse I've ever owned, and I'll stick with the 518s until Logitech stops making them.

Ok so after reading logitech's site, i'm leaning towards the G9. I'm buying from ebuyer, so it'd be £34.24 (), any reasons why i should NOT get that and get one of the others instead? (MX518 = £28 G5 = £29 G9 = £34, difference isn't enough for price to be a concern)

So why have you had two?

I can't speak for r2zoo.. but personally I have had two of them at a time for a long time now, one for my laptop and one for my gaming PC at home..
I tend to wear them out in ~ 1 year, so I RMA them and get a new one free because of the 3year warranty..

I started out with a mx310 for my laptop, but those damn things break too fast when transported around, and aren't nearly as ergonomic as the epic design of the MX518/G5...

And I just can't see myself spending as much money on a mouse that the G5 costs when (imo) the 1600dpi, weight and price of the MX518 suits me perfectly...
