Nice. Did you have to install a special charger or just plug and play?
Me and the lady are contemplating adding a dedicated Level 2 charger to our garage. It should only be $2-3k since the fuse box is in the garage so adding an extra circuit a few feet away would be pretty simple for an electrician.
But since I drive so little, we're happy to get by with the included cable that charges off a normal 120V 20A outlet. It gets about 1% per hour of charge, but the car has a range of 250 or so miles so even if we max that out on the weekend, we have all week to let it sit and do its thing.
Adding the L2 in the garage would be convenient and potentially add the homes value (albeit slightly) so no major downside after the price, just need to get around to it.

I don't know much about batteries but I do know charging strategy is key to maximising battery life.

From what I heard, the slower the better. Yes not going above 85 and not below 15 is good, but I think if you constantly do ultra-mega-fast charging every time, that's not ideal. You want the slow trickle charge as often as you can, and it appears I'm forcing myself to have only that.
Charging too slow shouldn't cause harm, but then I guess you're not going to charge it for 85-100 hours at a time so it will be in steps.
Charging below 85% or in steps can degrade performance - also charging to 85% too often can mean 85% is your new 100% and you lose that upper capacity.
Its very dependent on your actual battery, the design, chemistry etc.
Probably the latest batteries are better but then as soon as an improvement is made the cost is cut and you're in a worse position than when you started.

Lets hope there's a computer built in to help me not overthink this
I didn't buy a Rolex Oyster Perpetual today.
I have the money and can afford it but apparently you can only order them through authorized dealers. There are wait-list and you will need to "establish a relationship" with a dealer in order to get through the wait-list.
I ain't doing all that shit. I am not going to kiss an AD's ass just for the honor of buying an expensive watch. Besides, the only people who would even be impressed by it are other men. So, I would need to build a relationship with a man in order to buy a watch to impress another man. 🧐
Not happening. I did instead buy myself two other things that cost much less and also will not require me to charm a watchmonger.
White gold with diamonds.
The other thing I bought was an iPhone SE from Mint Mobile.
I need a 2nd phone for work. I am doing admin work at school. Not a full admin yet but fulfilling some of the duties. All of the admin and managers have 2 phones. Since we are government workers, our phones can be searched and subpoenaed. I don't want to have to hand over my phone for some work nonsense and suddenly someone has access to my dating app shenanigans. I didn't do that last summer. Didn't have the time or energy this year.

Yes, I am getting married to the one person I love the most: myself. Just kidding, I wanted a ring to balance out my usual ring collection.RTHKI wrote:
Is that a wedding ring?

Hit me up on discord. I can get you pretty much any rolex you want. Have you looked into used watches? Some really good deals out there if you look hard enough. I'm a big fan of the 36mm datejusts. Very clean and discreet.
There's a local lady here that can pretty much source any watch you could ever want. I had her chase down a birth year rolex for me but it was a bit too expensive to pull the trigger on.

Bought a new lock for my safe, the old one jammed and I had to get a locksmith to open it.
Why can I get gun parts delivered from France in under a week but it takes over a week to get a part from the distributor - who has them in stock - delivered 15km to a local reseller?
