Let's face it, Apple, it isn't christmas - it's the economic crisis which you want to fight your way through. Anyway, it should be quite interesting to see what they have reduced etc - free delivery is nice.

Check Engadget for a chart of all the discounts between Apple Store and AppleMall (think that is the name). The discounts aren't very large considering they're calling it a Black Friday Sale ... but I suppose something is better than nothing (though I still won't ever buy an Apple).

If nothing else, this financial crisis is STOPPING inflation. Or at the very least slowing it down.

In the realty industry and the auto industry, it's now a buyer's market. No one's buying like they used to, so there are some sales to be had.

Should be able to get some dirt-cheap ones in the clearance seeing as Apple have now swiftly replaced the iconic MacBooks with those ghastly HP-Packard / Toshiba lookalike black-gloss ones!

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If they drop prices down to chip-for-chip value, I might consider one for music/graphics.

Edit: iMac 2GB/8x00 video card for $2k. No.
Edit 2: Even customizing one of the Mac Pros gives me a headache. They value some of their hardware at 3x MSRP.
