If they targeted those responsible, and not the innocent victims who get hit with an indiscriminate bomb, it would be better.usmarine wrote:

That's one of the worst ever metaphors I have ever read. Doesn't even deserve to be qualified with a response.lowing wrote:

I am attacked unprovoked, I respond with violence you blame me for the violence
Israel is attacked unprovoked, they respond with violence and you asign blame to Israel for violence. Pretty straight forward I think
Nope, it is not acceptable, but assign the blame for the dead where it belongs, to the ones who are using them as shields.TheAussieReaper wrote:

Stop the weapons coming in, increase buffer zones, working closer with the Palestinian government, etc.M.O.A.B wrote:

At the moment there's nothing but rocket attack followed by helicopter gunship response followed by another rocket attack because a civilian died followed by another airstrike because another civilian has died.

Well you clearly understand nothing of the situation there.

You'd have to do something to Iran to stop weapons coming in. Buffer zones would be complained as being 'increasing territory for Israel' or something and the Palestinian government won't work with Israel until they stop supoorting the terrorist groups in their country and that pretty much comes down the peoples not standing up to these groups.TheAussieReaper wrote:

Yeah I agree, there's a lot of work to do between both sides and the peace process keeps hitting these same hurdles time and time again.M.O.A.B wrote:

Sunday, March 2, 2008 wrote:
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has deplored Israel for using excessive force in the Gaza Strip after troops killed 61 people Saturday including eight children, the bloodiest day for Palestinians since the 1980s.
Addressing the Security Council, Ban condemned Israel's excessive use of force, but also criticised Palestinian rocket attacks. "I condemn Palestinian rocket attacks, and call for the immediate cessation of such acts of terrorism, which serve no purpose, endanger Israeli civilians, and bring misery to the Palestinian people. I call for an end to these attacks," said Ban.
"While recognising Israel's right to defend itself, I condemn the disproportionate and excessive use of force that has killed and injured so many civilians, including children ... I call on Israel to cease such attacks," Ban continued.
However, there was no sign that the Israeli government is willing to stop an offensive that put more troops in Gaza on Sunday than since Israel ended a 35-year occupation in 2005. The offensive comes in response to a recent number of Palestinian rocket attacks including one on Wednesday which killed an Israeli student in the town of Sderot.
There have been calls by Libya to agree to a draft that would condemn Israel's killing of civilians; however, diplomats believe that it will not pass unless it is amended to mention Palestinian rocket fire.

Wow he acknowledges Israel is defending itself!, That is more than you will get from anyone on this forum. You condemn Israel for actually hitting back harder than the blow they just took, and ignore the intital attack itself. rediculousTheAussieReaper wrote:

What do you expect from a group like Hamas?usmarine wrote:

The more disproportionate attacks that come from Israel, and the more civilian casualties which result and that only gains strength to those bastards in the Govt. But they are not the ones launching military strikes into Isreal, the ones who are doing that are home made rocket launchers.
I'm not blaming Israel, what I'm saying is that Palestinians are responding through terrorism and retaliation to civilian deaths. It's gaining strength to Hamas each and every time Israel fires gunships into buildings where they think a terrorist may be living.
Hamas just have to sit back and they gain automatic support from the Palestinians because they aren't responsible for the attacks, they are limited in their ability to find the terrorists whether they are aggressively hunting them or not.
And lowing, I'm not ignoring the initial attack from Palestinians. But it's not coming from the Palestinian army, now is it? It's coming from single terrorists who don't seem to be killed whenever you see Israel decide to move the army in.
