I dont really understand what the uproar is. I mean yeah, spend a little less money, dont use the company account for your honeymoon with that 19 year old secretary intern, but when they are getting $xxx billion dollars, the difference between a few thousand dollars is minuscule.

Money isn't tight for them - they have a virtual open wallet from the US govt.  What incentive is there for them to change anything?  The government has set precedent after precedent in bailing out industries, especially artificially inflated ones.

you are correct... and soon the auto industry will be propped up despite their mediocre autos... after that... cities all over the US will ask for help... and then who else?   I am putting in my claim today... i need a new computer and a vacation...

Circuit City doesn't get a fucking bailout for having a shit store and shit management. Neither should they. Neither should the assholes who didn't read the fine print. On another note, if GM gets bailed out, its just a fucking band aide. They have a shit product, all they have is the corvette. I mean come on. Look at the GM Envoy, what the fuck is that thing? No matter how much they get bailed out the shit won't sell. Look at the fucking Trail Blazer, what the fuck is that. Chrysler has the PT Cruiser, its all the uses of a hearse, except it doesn't carry dead people, its to short, maybe midgets, wwho the fuck is going to buy that useless piece of shit.

Germany has sex and speed
Japan has economical and mildly good looking cars
America has ugly shit with mediocre mileage.

We should be bailing out Daimler AG and BMW frankfurt, atleast they have a future.

American cars can rot for all I care. If they get bailed out with my money then i deserve a tax payers discount for half off any GM product on account I keep their fucking piece of shit company alive.
