They were replaced by Goths and Emo's, who in turn become replaced by suicide cases. lol

edit: if your brother was one, what happened to him?

Well it was my step brother, he ended up going to college @ Penn State then moving to Texas with his gf, and they got married, he now has a 1 year old daughter, he dresses in shorts and button up collared shirts or regular tshirts

They're like a cross between "gangsta crackas" and "hard rockers". Don't know what happened to that kind of person, but it's been replaced by people who dress like chavs and preps that listen to indie or punk/rock.

Best answer I can give you.

It was a cool and comfortable style but with the emo kids showing up nobody wanted to be labelled emo so they changed I guess.

It was called nu-metal, and it was a transitory and brief phase that burnt out on its own creative monotony surprisingly fast.

I'm pretty sure the 'supporters' and genre-conforming fans still exist, just that liking a strange fusion of bland-chord metal and white-boy rap is no longer 'cool' or acceptable.

What Uzique said plus it was just average white guy style of the 90s.  How everyone dresses in the first American Pie and a lot of those B and C movies shown on Comedy Central sum those days' fashion styles up well. The people who dressed like that either grew up and got jobs or went: urban look, hipster, emo, etc. HOWEVER, some still exist.

Im saying the baggy generic clothing (basic tshirt, basic baggy pants) some type of semi-styled curly facial hair and some type of hat

Do they still exist, what did we call them? Man its been so long

I actually liked those guys, I could steriotype them into semi-prep, occasional appropriate drinking (partys & football games  so not 'drunks') occasional pot smokers
That band is Limp Bizkit.
I used to like them, until I agreed when Corey Taylor called them douches.

So you let one douche tell you and change your opinion on another band being, in fact, douches?

Irony? Lack of your own taste or discernability?

'A pot calling the kettle black' is an idiom that springs to mind, as if Corey Taylor or any of his musical contributions have been any more worthy to the artistic domain.

They disappeared with the 90's.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Ok, lets not derail this thread.
BUT
Limp Bizkits album: CS&HDFW was great. After, all the new albums/songs were crap, and the lyrics had me wtf'd.

They are still about, Fred Durst (singer for that band) is a dick. But the band kick's ass.

A few are sick of the emo and goth labeling etc. I listen to all metal and rock but I dress casual so I avoid anything like that luckily.
