This is very true. What happened is complete BS. To make a trade, and then have it cancelled and be stuck to deal with players who now feel unwanted or needed, then forced to trade them away for peanuts because of it basically hurts your team twice. Not to mention, the same guy you traded for is now playing in your very building with the team you share the city and market with....not cool.
Lakers GM fucked up too. Just because I guy demands a trade doesn't mean you have to trade him the next day for virtually nothing. I really hope there's a bigger plan here that we aren't privy to.
