I ordered a 7 ft. HDMI to DVI cable from Newegg, and the one they sent me was only 6 ft. which was about 6 inches short of what I needed.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Newegg.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As for the item, since it is not worth to waste your time and effort to send this item back to us for the RMA, we are willing to make an exception and I have requested a credit in the amount of $8.99 to be issued back to your source of payment as a customer courtesy. Please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to be posted into your account. Please keep this item as it is and disregard the RMA. It will be voided after 2 weeks. Please double check the item to confirm whether the wrong item has been sent or the item does not match with what we show. If the wrong item has been sent, please let us know the item # or the model # of the item you actaully received. Then we will contact our related department for investigation. Please reply to this email and then we will be able to further assist you for this issue.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQs page. If you still need assistance, please feel free to email me directly and I will be happy to assist you.

Thank you,

Newegg's customer support is really among the best. The only better than theirs I've experienced has been Apple.

Streetsurfing Customer Support is best,

I sent a simple email asking if I could attempt to take apart my Waveboard to clean the bearings and Spring system because the bearings weren't spinning and the springs squeaked, in reply, they sent me a brand new board.

Evga and Newegg have the best customer support.

However, Newegg is epicly gay because:

- The Shipping adress has to match your credit card
- The Billing adress has to match your credit card
- They need a 1-800 number to your credit card issuer (that rules out all international cards, pretty much)

You are only mad because you couldn't abuse the awesomeness of the USofA.

But NewEgg really is the shit. I've never had a problem with ordering from them, but I know if I ever did that it would be sorted out REAL fast.

While we're throwing out kudos, DFI used to have a support forum run by Angry_Games (Travis something or other).  That guy kicked serious ass.  A few years ago, I built my own rig in a small town where no one knew how to test enthusiast stuff.  It inevitably failed.  DFI support guy said to ship my stuff to him and he'd mess with it.  Turns out RAM was slightly out of spec and wouldn't post w/ the main board, but would post in any other less strict board.  DFI sucked but the support guy rocked.  They've since parted ways I think.

And, related to that... OCZ frickin rocks.  Angry_Games had a contact at OCZ and emailed him that the tolerances were off on my RAM and the OCZ guy emailed me direct w/ an RMA and an apology.  A week later I had my components back from Angry_Games and replacement RAM hand picked by OCZ as w/in tolerance to work in my mainboard.

And to tie it all together, I bought all that shit from newegg, who nicely let me RMA the mainboard before we figured out it was the RAM, not the board.

So in summary...
<3 Angry_Games, <3 OCZ, <3 Newegg.

Unless of course you got a middle man to do it.

That works too I guess. I just would be pissed if I had to rely on someone to get tech stuff for me.

Paying with my own money, shipping to my home address and addressed to me = greatest feeling in the world.

Okay, well maybe not the greatest...

It is incredibly cheap too.

I brought a Joystick off of newegg for $24 plus the $11 for shipping and handling(no tax for me because I live in New York).  When I went to Best Buy/Circuit City for the Joystick they were all selling it for $50+tax(which would come out to $55).

<3 newegg.

Shut up, I do know about the smell of fresh electronics!

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
