If you're young and not working your arse off as a professional (ie. have no time to go out and socialise) then you should be spending more time meeting women in person than online. I'm not saying don't do both but exclusively doing it online kinda makes you out to be a bit of a weird recluse.

I also remember it was Kmar, blessed be his name, that told you that you were being myopic and assuming way too much about people and their lives. You are doing that again.
I'll get straight to my point: Not everyone has the ability and means to partake in the dating scene like we do. I'm lucky enough to be good looking enough to not repulse women instantly, have money to go out with and around them, and have the freedom and time to do so. Some people aren't good looking enough to be able to date like 'the rest of us (???)'. Some people don't have the money to go hangout with girls at bars and clubs. Some people have to work or take care of siblings or other family and don't have the freedom to spend Saturday night at a friend's pouring pot and beer into a girl. Since life isn't as simple as you make it out to be and is in fact pretty complicated as I summed up as shortly as possible- people who can't date like 'the rest of us (???)' shouldn't be demonized as 'weird recluses (?!)' for using alternative dating methods. Not everyone is like you are and me or just me or just you. And that is okay.

online dating sites just expand the potential dating pool. nothing wrong with using all the resources available to you. As hurri said, if your personality sparkles a bit brighter than your looks, online dating is only going to get you so far. I'm an ugly dude and only 5'6" (boo hoo), so I tend to stick to charming the pants off women with my acerbic wit and penchant for randomly belting out Disney show tunes instead of constantly trolling 'dating' sites for strange.

I get that. The post was addressed to people who have stated they have a social circle and know people and are actively out and about. I never said don't look online, I said they should be combining their efforts with real world socialising rather than exclusively looking online.Macbeth wrote:

At their age and with their stated lack of experience yet stated social networks they need to be out there improving on their social skills and expanding their social network.

Well, the high school girl(who graduated) invited me to go bowling with her and her friends tonight but I let myself get too anxious already and by the time I even got to the bowling alley I had pretty much overloaded and gone into my light-headed minimalistic autopilot phase. She introduced me to all her friends, and also her boyfriend, who of course was a 6'1 long-haired mulatto guy with a somewhat slender athletic build. We bowled two rounds for an hour and all her friends seemed to get along great, I felt kind of awkward but I still talked to her a little bit. Sucked at bowling though, I think I got like a 60 the first round and a 53 the 2nd. It felt like I was pretty much just going through the motions the whole time I was there. When everybody was about to leave she hugged me and said we need to hang out more but she didn't really make eye contact when she said it, or really much at all the whole time. I think it was pretty obvious how awkward it all had gotten for me. On top of that I forgot to brush my hair after showering so it was a mess which made me pretty nervous too. The circumstances just weren't right today.
I completely forgot how cute she was in person and realized even more so this time: She spoke proper English(not ghettoey at all) in the most adorable voice and she had a really tight little body with a nice plump ass and thighs.
