Maybe I'm really cynical, but every young military couple just looks like a walking divorce to me.
its reality.  maybe 1 out of 10 survive?
I got a shit ton of relatives and acquintances from/in the military.  No divorces.  Sister married to a vet.  Cousin from the army who is climbing the corporate ladder, almost to CFO.  Cousin, army medic, book published and selling on Amazon.  Uncle with scholar kids earning six figure salaries.  I wouldn't blame the miltary.  It's in the character of the individual and family tree structure, regardless of the military.
being away for long stretches from the girl you married because you were leaving can't help

Obviously.  Joining the military, going overseas, other than in muslim countries,, is the easiest way to "get some".  Getting married beforehand is a bad idea.

That's what the discussion is - getting married before you deploy. How many of your examples did that?

You should make up a problem to compensate for your real life failures in that department.
