Hurri, you have the type of depression a 14-year-old girl has. Sure you might feel like shit when you're not busy living your life, but it's such meaningless sadness. The type that people that makes bystanders just go: Aww. And then get on with their lives because getting more involved is simply too annoying for them.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you other than one heavy case of the low-self-esteemsys. I am going to prescribe you a 20min dose of a jog , take it at least twice a week and a 1 night dose of a party, take it at least once every week.

just started the jog regimen this week actually and i definitely do some sort of social event every weekend. thanks for the advice, ashamed to say you're prolly spot on.

Clinical depression = requires medication for treatment
Psychological depression = learning to change your perspective on life and your self image

Unless you've got PTSD or depression through some form of bereavement you'll be fine. You just gotta do stuff that makes you feel fulfilled.

I know it sounds weird but when I really started to get a handle on my depression was after the first time I took MDMA. I saw the otherside and how I could feel amazingly good. After that I strived to be as happy as I could without needing to take drugs. A mate once said to me when I said to him "I think I've figured out what my problem is" and he cut me off there and said "Jake, your problem is that you think you have a problem".

I think this is the case with you.

Don't mean this to sound like a lecture but you kinda remind me of me when I was your age. And one day when you realise how self indulgent and what a waste of your own time it was you'll kick yourself - but in a good way.
