Um...that statement was in line with the OP's title, intended to point out the silliness of the labeling.

Mek-Stizzle wrote:

And just how do you come to the conclusion that right wing extremists are "always" worse than liberal ones? Stalin was a left-wing extremist, mind you.
Well, in this context, you can bet your arse that the right wing extremists in the US are worse than the liberal ones.
And just how is that? Do you have anything to back that up?

Mek-Stizzle wrote:

I'd vouch against it. The backlash against Bush was far worse than the backlash against Clinton.
Of course the leftist backlash at Bush was worse than the right wing backlash against Clinton. That's because there wasn't much wrong with Clinton for the far right to really get egged on about. There is alot with Obama, there was alot with Bush that the left got annoyed about.
You're misjudging the amount of annoyance the right had at Clinton. It's your opinion, as a leftist, that there wasn't much wrong with Clinton.

Mek-Stizzle wrote:

And when people like, you and usmarine say they still don't know who they're going to vote for and they might not vote for the GOP. That's the same as Cam saying he wouldn't vote for the Blue team and he's still undecided, yeah, that much (well, that's what it looks like, imo).
That may be what it looks like to you. But my absentee ballot is still blank, and I'm not filling it out until I've seen all the debates and thought long and hard about it. There are key problems I have with both tickets.

If he wins... i'm going to sit back and laugh as he raises taxes... small and medium businesses contract because they can't pay workers or hire new people... his healthcare plan doesn't get off the ground... and he gives credibility to aquadinnerjacket by chatting with him and realizes that he hates us and Israel...
it should be fun...  We lived through Jimmy Carter... so we can make it through anything...  It will be nice to blame Obama for 4 years for everything...  although Obama will use Bush as an excuse as long as he can...

Somebody has to pay the bill. I take it you intend to print 700 billion fresh new dollars to pay for this lovely bailout rather than actually pick up the tab? You guys want the world but never want to pay for it. Time to man up, be responsible, fix the mess and make sure it never happens again. Oh and his manifesto, to my knowledge, does not entail tax raises for anyone earning up to the really rather respectable level of $450,000 a year... God knows how he'll pay for this bailout.

Also, define giving 'credibility' to Ahmedinejad.

Yeah, those tax levels are somewhere between $40k and 4450k (I had heard him claim  $250k, but factcheck.org reported a number in the upper $40K's).

...although I am starting to doubt factcheck.org's credibility, as they had a bit of pro-Obama spin in a few pieces, and posted an INCORRECT CORRECTION on a law dating back to 1934...poor research FTL...

I don't have a mortage i can't afford... and i don't think we should pay with our taxes to help out shoddy banks that made these bad loans to people living beyond their means...  I admit i am not a financial expert but i live within my means and don't need the govt to take care of me...

Funny how they have a category called 'Angry Republicans' after that one guy spoke at a town hall meeting.  I don't recall their being the same when Bush won the last two times?

Obama seems to be a decent human being.  I like the way he speaks and presents himself, but I still disagree with his positions on issues.

You twisted it, lowing.

Cam thinks that the only chance McCain has of winning is if racism plays a significant role in this election.

He did not equate a McCain vote to a racist one.

You did.

I think what lowing is getting at is that if anyone other than Obama wins, people will claim that it is due to voter racism and not his position on the issues that matter to the voters.

It goes both ways.  Why it matters to anyone is beyond me.  Feos, you're better than this.

Calm down, spear. All I was doing was clarifying the racism comment as I understood its intent...which was different than the way Aussie portrayed it. That is all.
