2 parts basically, but the question is the same...is this fucking surreal or what?

1) 3 members of McCain's campaign staff have been responsible for contributing a total of $49 million to Ayer's group.  In 1993 William Ayers, Anne Hallett, and Warren Chapman decided to apply for a grant from the Annenberg Foundation for $49.2 Million to improve and reform Chicago's public schools.

Guess who approved and gave them the money?

David Kearns, currently working as a campaign advisor for McCain in both the 2000 and 2008 election bid.
Walter Hubert Annenberg, whose widow has throw her support and money behind McCain quite publically.
Arnold R. Weber, major finance organizer responsible for helping finance McCain's campaign.

They knew Ayers was a radical back in the day, and they still loved him enough to give him $49 million.  McCain happily associates with and accepts money from these terrorist financiers.

and my favorite...

2)  Sarah Palin, happily giving speaches in front of a white-supremecist and anti-American separatist group, which her husband and her were both members.  Sarah Palin was more than happy to have her praise for this group videotaped and made a public record.  This same small group whose leader spoke at the United Nations on behalf of Alaskan Independance by making a sponsorship deal with Iran.  The same group whose 80-year old leader died 1 month after the Waco incident when he was blown to pieces while making a purchase of a large amount of plastic explosives.

This whole thing smells like Rove.  Basically:
1) Find your own candidate's flaws.
2) Find a similar flaw with the opposing candidate, no matter how proportional.
3) Publicize this flaw/past history as much as possible, smear him with it.
4) When he strikes back with the real deal, accuse them of "playing politics"...or hope your opponent has too much moral character to hit back at that level and hope your BS goes unchallenged.

Sarah Palin has close family ties and has given very big support to an organization that advocates the violent expulsion of the US government from Alaska.  McCain has surrounded himself also with people that have just as much association with Ayers as Obama ever did.  I guess if the tactic works in high school...

The monemt politicians stop digging in their opponent's history to find some mud they can throw, only to geht the same mud right back in the face is the moment politics might actually be about topics and subjects again. I hope that time will come soon.

I just don't get how one would start accusing his opponent to have relations to a terrorist, when the same is true for himself...

(he's a little slow on the googles, I'll try to help - not that I think he can read past a 4th grade level)

I usually get pissy when other people don't source their stuff, so here is, apologies for not doing it above.

This years AIP convention with Palin as guest of honor, about 6:00 in, the leader proclaims Sarah as a "member before she became governor".

Wiki quote - Sarah Palin was never a member of the Alaska Independence Party according to a statement released by AIP chairman Lynnette Clark on September 3, 2008[7]. Clark had the day earlier stated that Sarah Palin was a member, and attended the 1994 AIP Convention, but retracted her statement the following day, affirming that she was mistaken.[8].

It also affirms links to the "Constitution Party".

This details a bit the circumstances of Vogel's death.  The deal with Iran had already been cut, he just had a little "accident" before that went down...1 month after Waco and just before the UN speech.
