I'm sorry, I can not seem to remember the countries Israel threatens to wipe off the map. Or how many countries it has massed against in order to kill them.

The fact is, Israel defends itself, and it defends itself well. If the Arab and Islamic nations would leave them alone there wouldn't be any problems.

As for the OP, I never said what the guy did was wrong or what the "youths" did was right. I refuse to compare this however, with the non-stop daily "anti-Islamic activites".

...or maybe it just happens to be 'bash on Israel' day at the BBC?

If you looked past the media frenzy around the cartoon protests and looked at the actual statistics regarding how many Muslims actually came out protesting your argument that it was anything other than a minority incident would fall flat on its face. Less than 1% of the Muslim population of Indonesia (the world's most populous Muslim country) took to the streets to riot or protest.

...And I'm sure I could spend a year posting articles about Israeli heavy-handedness if I really wanted to too.
Yer right Braddock, Islam is full of peace and love and tolerance for non-believers. They treat everyone as equals and can move a society ahead leaps and bounds in all catergories. I don't know what got into me for thinking otherwise. Pass me your blinders so I can be as content as you are.
Lowing you pillock I'm put off at the way you dismiss this along the lines of 'well the Muslims are worse so it is alright'. You can't justify any wrong act merely by saying that there was another wrong act of greater magnitude commited that was in no way connected to this.

It's not alright lowing you berk. The paralells between this and how you see Muslims are frightening. Imagine for a second, if you will, that you read a story about a Christian/Jew/Whatever Religion driving through Mashhad who is set upon by a gang of Mulsims for not observing one of their public holidays. This leads to a town wide Muslim v Christian/Jew/Whatever religion riot. You'd be up in arms. 3 D&ST topics (and a topic in Everything Else just for good measure). But don't worry in this cases its the Jews so it's alright. Here, lets do an experiment shall we:

Riots have broken out in the mixed city of Tabriz, reportedly triggered when an Israeli Jewish man was spotted eating in daylight during the Ramadan religious holiday.

Dozens of cars and shops were damaged as hundreds of people took to the streets, Haaretz newspaper reported.

For Muslims, Ramadan is a month of fasting between sunrise and sunset, during which it is considered offensive to eat in much of Iran.

The Israeli man was reportedly attacked by youths who said he was eating intentionally, Haaretz said.

The Israeli man is reported to have said he was simply having lunch as he had not yet eaten that day.

Most of Iran comes to a standstill Ramadan - the holiest day in the Islam calendar.
See, how would that make you feel?
I didn't dismiss anything. I just see no comparison between this and Islamic intolerance and violenvt worldwide.

Also I do not hate Muslims. I judge everyone individually by their appearance, and actions. I do in fact hate Islam however. It is a violent and intolerant religion that has no place in a free and tolerant society. It goes against western values and morality.

Are you sure you understand what "passive-aggressive" means?

Anybody anywhere in the world who happens to be Jewish can gain citizenship of Israel, enforcing a Jewish majority in a supposed pluralistic democracy. Yes, it's apartheid.

Having lived there, I would say its one of the last really apartheid states.  I actually left because I was denied promotion and training in the Red Magen David program I was a part of.  It seems that the highest you can go is "ambulance driver", but if you aren't Jewish, you can't take the paramedic training qualification.  Jews = Free (paid by government), Christians = $7000 payment to take the test...for volunteer work.  It didn't matter that I had spent 2 months driving around the Gaza strip with a big red Star of David on the side of my mini-van, apparently that didn't prove I was dedicated.

I was referring to that specific instance. He went further (if you bothered to read the subsequent posts), explaining other instances that back that idea. And I agreed that those were good examples...showing state enforcement of apartheid-like policies, rather than just some young knobs doing what young knobs do.

You just hate Muslims lowing... and bunching all Muslims in with extremists who want to declare war on the West makes it easier for you to do so.

I dislike all religion on a fundamental level but I am more than happy to coexist with anyone, no matter what their beliefs, provided they are not trying to use their faith to drive an obstacle between us in society. The Jewish faith (in its more fundamentalist interpretations) is just as racist as the Islamic faith when it comes to outsiders... they have special words for non-Jews, they don't like marrying outside of their faith or community, they regard themselves as God's chosen people, which implies we're all religious untermensch.

Look at m3thod as an example of an actual Muslim... he's a perfectly nice, sociable member of society complete with academic qualifications (the kind of things that often contribute towards moving society forward in some capacity at an intellectual level) and even a sense of humour! ...who'd have thunk it eh... that Muslims could have a laugh and a joke just like other humans?

You say I have blinders on when it comes to Islam lowing? What would you have me do... dismiss all of my first-hand experience of the Muslim community in my day to day life in favour of the second-hand 'evidence' you provide me with via links to the Daily Mail website? Which approach would be more blinded?
