Reason #47 why you don't want to run a Vista OS with BF2...

Anyway, whenever I try to access the command line with the tilda key ~ nothing happens.  Very frustrating.  Any ideas folks?  I do run BF2 in XP compatibility mode, run as an administrator, etc.

Has anyone else come across this and do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

I run Vista and have never had a problem with getting the (console) to appear. But I would note that the only compatibility option I have is "run as administrator", I dont use the run for XP mode.

Other than that...no idea.

do try and make sure you have actually got it bound to tilde

if it is bound to tilde, rebind it incase it's got confused, other than that no idea either tbh :p

If you go into notepad and hit the tilde key, does it produce a tilde?

If not - there's your problem - windows doesn't think your tilde key is a tilde key...
