Well hey, if Rabin was never murdered...you never know what could have happened.Kmarion wrote:
I think we are living in a different world. One that has paid the price for the dismantling of our intelligence agencies and decades of ignoring corruption. Do you think corporate scandals like Enron, Adelphia, and Tyco just magically appeared when Bush took office?Poseidon wrote:

Clinton left us in a recession. Sorry.. it's a fact. He also didn't fight the cold war, the first Iraq war, major disasters (Katrina), or deal with the fallout of 9/11. Bush has got spending problems.. but lets not be so naive to think Clinton was some sort of super star.
Clinton was quite far from being a superstar.
But yet he was still better than Bush ever was/is. As the question has been asked so many times - do you seriously think we're better off now than when we were during the Clinton administration?
I know my family's financial system has changed a hell of a lot, that's for sure. I might have been young during it, but I remember quite well.
I'm no economics expert - quite far from it. Yet I'm able to see how my life and my family's life has been changed in this administration.
Whenever I hear the "Clinton left us a surplus" remarks all I can think of is this.

It looks great from a distance, but in truth there was a real storm brewing.
Again, the GOP contributed as well. But there are lots of people lining up to point blame at one party. You'd (not you specifically) have to be a complete idiot to buy that. People are being taken for a ride. And frankly I'm getting tired of hearing it
Well, I'll give into this one Kmar. As I've said, I'm not an economics master and I'm not going to pretend I am indeed one.
However, I'm also not blaming one party for this. Don't think I am for one second. I'm no democrat and I'm certainly no republican.
