The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Agreed, but the non-digital dash pisses me off. Like wtf is having the MPG on a meter? I also dont like the padels but over all its simple.

I loved the old consumption meter. I miss it in my new car. Always nice to see how much your car is using. Analog > digital

All the new BMWs have digital ones

Its a good idea, benz made it easy, theres is hard. my grandpa had a 745 a few years ago and it was glitchy. i heard they fixed it though

I'm not a huge fan of the idrive, but I don't like the merc version either. I don't even have a navi in my car
