I'm looking for a good HDMI hub for my 32" Sharp Aquos LCD TV. Needs to have full 1080p capabilities and it needs to have atleast 3/4 ports.

I can't seem to find a good one from any really known retailers (Newegg, TigerDirect, etc) but I don't think I'm looking hard enough.

If anyone can find me a reliable one, I'll be grateful and send some karma your way. Thanks in advance.

This what you're looking for? If so, search HDMI switches on Newegg.

that is a fucking ripoff.  they may be priced like that but i KNOW it doesn't take them a 10th of that to make that shit.

If an HDMI cable cost $50 for 3ft (they do in Canadia anyway) then a HUB is gotta be expensive. If the manufacturer expects someone to hook up 2 or more HDMI cables to it, I guess they're assuming you can fork out the cash for a switch

I did a search too for hdmi splitter, and got links to a bunch of boxes in europe, and they where going for as much as 400 euros, so I didnt bother linking :\  Theres no real reason for them to be that expensive, as it is a digital, in that, its either all or nothing, the quality, doesnt really come into it, like it did with say scarts etc.

At those prices, you might want to consider buying an AV receiver, it wouldnt be that much more :\

They always overprice HDMI cables and any thing related to them because they know people buying HD tvs will buy all this stuff. I got my PS3 HDMI cable from GAME. It was £10 and has done me great. I know people who have bought the same one as me and then bought an expensive one and makes no difference at all.

I don't know if brand name makes a difference, but I found this at the site where I bought my HDMI cable:

If someone knows, are these (below) crappy quality or something?  I don't know why they're so cheap at this site.

Seems properly priced for a retail cable.

I've begun looking for an HDMI hub again...I'm getting a 360 Elite very soon (January) and it comes with an HDMI cable. I've already got my cable box and PS3 hooked up via HDMI and I've only got 2 ports on my TV, so my interest in one is renewed.

Price isn't really that big of a deal, but I'd like to keep it around $100 if possible..

weren't you going to get some new speakers or something? If so, get an A/V reciever with a few HDMI ports. If not, see my post above.

Yeah, I decided it's not really worth and I'll just pick up a few decent speakers later this year. Right now though, I want an HDMI hub.

The one you posted looks good, but it's a bit expensive...any others you know of around the $100 price range?

it's the only decent one you can get ahold of in Norway

I don't know, but you could probably find something for $50 over there.
