If we learned anything from the first 6 years of Bush's presidency that having the Executive and Legislative branch have the same party bring with it a Blank Check that the party in power writes for itself.

In 1994 Bill Clinton had a Republican Legislative branch and the next 6 years went swell since both sides couldn't ram exactly what they wanted and they had to compromise.

Now in the 2008 election what I suggest, think hard if you really want another Washington to write themselves a Blank Check.

P.S. Is it true that there are over 2,000 earmarks in the $700 billion bailout?  Seems someone is lining someone's pocket before the election.

I would have no problem with that except his appointments to the Supreme Court - other than that I wouldn't have a problem.

That shouldn't be a problem if both worked to benefit the people.  The last 6 years were devastating because they worked for their own benefit.

The same way we did in 1994...when Clinton had a matching majority in the House and Senate for a year. That got corrected at the election for the House and Senate.

And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. Politicians work for the benefit of politicians...period.

Obama said that he would postpone all his programs until we're out of this financial crisis, but you know they are going to raise taxes on +$250k/year earners and make the problem worst.
