Actually socialist practice socialism capitalist practice capitalism. I prefer a free market over govt. thumb pressing. Or does the govt. have a track record of efficency that I am unaware of.

You seem like a pretty smart guy, I'm guessing that deep down you actually admit to yourself that there are many shades of grey on both sides of the political spectrum. Not every liberal-minded person burns flags, hates the military or opposes free market economics... in the same way not every conservative believes in creationism, owns an m-16 assault rifle or considers responsible capitalism to be communism.

I'd be surprised if the total income you've made to date in your entire life isn't less than half of all the taxes I've paid to date. It might equal what I've paid in insurance costs (but I doubt it) for my business and the employees: health, Workman's comp, errors and omissions, professional liability, general liability...
