I'm looking for a game that seamlessly combines enjoyable fighting with fun and not overly complex puzzles. Think 'God of War' style. Unfortunately the third installment of that series is planned for next year. The games I have been looking at are
Viking: Battle for Asgard
Pro:Norse mythology has always interested me, epic battles, vikings
Contra: (according to reviews) repititive gameplay (but then again, I liked Assassin's Creed even though that was the very definition of repititiveness)
Beowulf
Pro: GoW clone (considering that I love that series)
Contra: lackluster reviews complaining about the repititive combat and complicated/boring storyline
Conan
Pro: barbarian brutality, musical score
Contra: graphical quirks, annoying catchphrases spouted in combat about a gazillion times
Upcoming games I am considering
Golden Axe: Beast Rider
Pro: It's Golden Axe, I've played the three games on the Sega Genesis a million times, more beasts
Contra: no coop, odd transparent camera view preventing terrain from blocking the action
Anyone who has played these games and would like to share their opinion or recommend me one?
