This is shitty thing: U can use other weapons that snipers to shoot people from like a kilometre away in this game. These weapons need to be fixed like g36c, it shoots right there where u point it! and the pistol too happens to do this, even when tapping the button fast
I regret unlocking the scarl too but, i like the g36c better, its more accurate on all ranges and i like the iron sight.
I would like to unlock the g36k for spec ops, it would be the 3rd specops unlock and i wouldnt feel so bad unlocking the scarl anymore.

The SCAR-L is worth it. Definately takes 'em down better than the G36C which feels like a toy when you shoot with it in auto. Granted the latter is the better option in single shot mode, really nice and accurate with little recoil but when the shit hits the fan I know which one I'll be holding ;-)

I unlocked it just because I never playe engi and don't care for the G3 so meh. I don't play Spec Ops a ton but I use it just as much as the G36C when I do.
SCAR-L is less accurate but does more damage. Also I believe after doing a few tests changing between the two weapons that the aim feature for the SCAR-L is better. It seems to zoom in a bit more which would make some shots more accurate.
G36C is more accurate even with the iron sight but does less damage. It also kicks less than the SCAR-L that much I've noticed. However the aim feature isn't as zoomed in as the SCAR-L.
So both have their benefits. To each their own.

Actually the SCAR zooms exactly the same as the G36C. Once again, we have argued and eventually reached the point where it is obvious that EA did a good job of weapon parity. Each gun in the game has its advantages and disadvantages. It's all about personal preference and the situation.kilroy0097 wrote:

I must say that I like the G36c better. Except for the sight of the SCAR I would not have unlocked it.. I should have unlocked either the PKM or MG36 as I have no support unlocks.
I unlocked it cause I can, its a good weapon, & my last 2 guns didnt look very appealing {mp7 &mg36}

id just like to clear something up.
the 6 shots to kill armoured information for g36c and m4 on bf2s wiki is WRONG. it takes 7 shots to kill armoured with 6c and m4, not 6. The scar l however takes 6. Thats why, if you prefer the dmg, should unlock the scar l

Nah, I hate it. Yeah the laser sight is better at range, but the gun is annoyingly innaccurate and it's really shit at long range, you have to do tiny little bursts.
G36 is much better.
G36 is much better.
I prefer the G36C. With that gun on single shot, you can put someone in your sights and just keep tapping your fire button, without having to wait between shots for your gun to stabilize. With the SCAR-L you have to pause between shots for the recoil to dissipate. Also, the G36C has insane accuracy on its first shot, and pretty much the same accuracy on the following shots. It's slightly weak in close combat but most of the time it gets the job done.

I only wish you could unlock a decent gun for the assault class, what i'd give to unlock the G36E for assault.

Maybe I'm in the minority. Did anyone else learn to use the G36C in single shot mode? I learned to do my own triple taps with it.
I get the better accuracy of "single shot mode". Typically the only time I switch to auto is when I'm doing some sort of full on assault/area clearing.
I dunno...just addicted to my little "pop-pop-pop" sound of the G36.

I have played a lot of hours as medic. So if I switch over to the Spec. Ops kit I pick the G36C because I am so used to the G36E's sights.
Once you get the burst thing **brrrt-brrrt-brrrt*** dialed in... it is nearly as accurate as single round fire and way more accurate than all those auto guns with lots of recoil.
I will give credit to the Scar-L on night maps though......helps a lot.

I never even checked the stats for the SCAR, but to me it "feels" like the best spec ops gun in the game.
I wish they had attachments for guns such as scopes, red dots, silencers, and stabalizers. You could get up to two attachments, but lose sprinting distance for more helpful attachments (like a weight thing.)
