He could be the lone voice of reason, telling people during these scary times to have faith, to be strong.

To add one defensible thought to his silence...the Repub party might be telling him to "stay the fuck out of the papers" in order to not sour people on McCain. But I agree...a Kennedy'esque speech could do a lot for people right about now.
