We have had numerous attacks by Islamists and the Irish nationalists in the modern times, not to mention older events, thanks for asking. Not that I'm going to play the number game with people's lives and deaths and say "We got more killed cause x number of people died". I'm also not gonna to claim that nobody else knows what it's like to experience a terrorist attack on their home soil, because my knowledge of world events is half decent.FEOS wrote:
I have no idea what you're talking about. I wasn't playing any cards. Did your country have something similar happen to it? Do US people on these boards demean it when you mention it?jord wrote:
Yes I know it doesn't detract significance. See the part of what you said that I quoted. You're playing the same card that I've seen before, when things like that have happened to others and for some reason you don't think so.FEOS wrote:
So you're saying your country has been attacked out of the blue, when not in a state of war, by terrorists who killed over 3,000 people in a couple of hours?
Gee, you'd think that would've made the history books or something.
FFS...us remembering what happened to our country that day doesn't detract from anything that happened to yours. No more than you remembering a tragic event in your country detracts from our remembrance of 9/11. This isn't a zero-sum game.
I thought not.
That statement was directed at the fucksticks who would make light of the events of that day. If you aren't one of them, it didn't apply to you.
And what's making light of the event mean? I don't know that phrase, but if it's disrespecting or making fun of dead people I assume you I'm not. I'm making a point on a part of your post I didn't like. I've been here long enough for you to know I aint Rammunation and don't hate America cause it's cool.
