Today I found out that my mom and dad were going to best buy so I thought this would be a good opportunity to get tf2. So I went to best buy and got tf2 as well as counter strike: source which includes dod:source and hl2:deathmatch, both tf2 and cs:source were $20 each.

I have the boxed version. Nothing special but having the CD key in a tactile form allows you to recover your account if it gets stolen, which is useful I guess. Also it's quicker to install and doesn't take up any band with when installing.

I just like having a hard copy of a game as opposed to just having it in digital form. Dunno.

I've got the boxed version of CSS/DOD:S and HL2:DM as well.

Quicker to install my **bleep**

I bought the TF2 hardcopy instead of steaming it because at the time my internet was crap, and I was hoping that I'd manage a ping below 200

So I come home, put the CD DVD in, it installs steam and tells my to put in my CD Key, and I do, then it goes on to tell me that I NEED TO REDOWNLOAD THE WHOLE EFFEN GAME, ALL 4GB worth, from Steam

This was around Midnight, so I wrap it up for the night and let it download its 4GB at 75kB/s, the next morning I come back to find that it's still at 85%.

Granted, I was pretty pissed.

P.S. I don't really like Tf2 too much, so my Hellish night was a waste
Although, I then wanted to get CS: S but this time I downloaded it from the STEAM THAT The TF2 CD installed, so It came to some use...just not the use that I paid $3.45 in taxes for(If you buy it from steam directly, you don't pay taxes, unlike a store)
