So, uh, guys.

The game plays fine muted. Non-muted, it crashes every time anywhere between 30s and 3-4min. Not at the same places or key places, just "randomly" it seems.

I've tried the codec fix, multiple times.
I've uninstalled ffdshow.
I've tried a windows realtek ac97 fix.

I have the DxDiag reports....

can anyone help?

Really, there's so much more to Oblivion. I'm at about 20 hours and I've done pretty much everything I want to in fallout. I've been playing oblivion more than 85 hours, and I still find loads of stuff to do.

Fallout has like 6 special weapons, oblivion has hundreds. Not to mention I miss alchemy.

Not that fallout isn't fun, it just hardly feels finished.

Tesla can be repaired (Enclave guys have it) and it adds to energy weapons.

It also looks cooler.

Just did. Crashed as soon as I got in game.

I reinstalled the k-lite codecs after reinstalling the drivers, worked for 15min or so. Crashed when I entered my house.

If Oblivion was improved with things like locational damage, dismemberment and a few more Fallout things it would be vastly superior.

Fallout is good though, I really like the setting and the backstory. Not that Tamriel has a shortage of that.

Just finished it, I liked the game but the ending was lacking imo.

The whole time playing I kept thinking it was so much better than Far Cry 2 and in so many ways, but the ending felt just as boring imo.

A better cut scene would have been nice I think.
