I've done this to my projector so I guess it's basically the same thing then right ? I've never thought about hooking it up to a regular tv.

My TV would be collecting dust, without the PS3. It's pretty sad they are selling HDTV's, while having only few HD channels.
When I play games that my computer can usually run,fps is the same.Not many games can run on 1920*1080,so I play on 1280*1024 and I don't see any quality loss except stretched screen a little bit.Obiwan wrote:

Yeah it sucks over here. You pay through the nose for HD channels and I don't watch enough TV to justify it.

What's so spectacular about that? Many people have HD and up resolutions. Would have been spectacular two years ago.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
