I think the xbox version is backwards compatible with the 360 but i don't know about the ps2

Yup, but there's problems apparentely:

"Map can sometimes turn solid blue and sound can skip. PAL version freezes 360 completely when entering top of the map. NTSC version becomes buggy and can crash when in the northern part of the map, causing the Chinese portion of the game to be very difficult to complete."

It's also not "60 hz" compatible...whatever that means.

sound exciting, nowadays you get nothing for trading in old systems and games so its just best to keep them

I got 65 bucks on eBay...pretty good considering it had gone through years of usage.

I'd rather play MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, Shadow of the Colossus, Socom 3, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, God of War, God of War 2, Resident Evil 4, GTA Vice City, GTA 3, GTA San Andreas and Bully than play one Next Gen game if you know what I mean

fuck, I had such a shitload of PS2 games...I wonder where they all went...

I could play all those or sell my PS2 and have enough money for one next gen game... Its not worth it for me

@ Miggle- 65 bucks is the price for a next gen game, im just saying as an example

Yes, but all of those games were at $50 bucks at release. So...

If a PC game is $40 as compared to the typical $50, it usually means the devs don't expect it to be successful on the PC or it's been dumbed down...

Ya, I want to play it on all high, and I think my 88G92 Will chug with atom bombs blowing n shit.
Plus a couple of my IRL friends will get it too.

A game like this it doesn't matter console or PC. You don't need to aim a Nuke with a mouse and keyboard

I know, Mercs 1 worked beautifully on the Dualshock2.
I'm just wondering about Visuals/DLC and so on.

I wouldn't worry about visuals...and XBL will get the DLC.
