I've gotten basic command and staff officers ribbon like 5 times over and still neither of them show. Frankly it's becoming very annoying. My stats just updated and several awards I've gotten since are showing up however....again.. Any thoughts, advice?
Try playing in a differnt Server.

I now know how you feel. I earned two badges the other day, Veteran SF Sniper and Veteran SF Assault. the Sniper one was excellent, I got a Silver medal as well. I killed one person with a pistol, one with a knife and the rest with one shot rifle kills. The best players section has me with my Silver medal saying "most used veichle" [blank] "most used kit" [Sniper] "Other kits used" [Sniper] I felt like the man, but beside the point. (I also got best combat.)
The next round/map, Devil's Perch, I earned my Vet SF Assault, yet it has dissapeared, and I fear it will never show.
On the bright side, I don't care! I like earning the awards, not having them, and I earned both the awards without tank whoring or even killing anyone with anything but the kit I had. I will go for my Vet SF Assault later, but just to tell you guys who have had awards dissapear on them, I know how you feel.

Interestingly enough, I had the same thing happen, but only with my Staff Officer Ribbon. It seems like the game has a problem registering some of the commander awards. I finally got it yesterday though.
Just noticed, on my Sig it says that I do have the Veteran SF Assault badge. It probably just hasn't registered with BF2S yet.
So I don't know how you feel.

I got 55 kills iar with sniper on an sf server yesterday but it never awarded my expert sniper or expert sniper specialist badges. The server wasn't completely broken, because the points I earned added up on bfhq.
Oh, and I got my 2nd combat action medal in the same round..

I know what you mean. I worked hard and took a beating on my K/D ratio to get my Veteran Explosives. The award never showed up on my stats. In game or anywhere else. Foul BF2 game.
I was using the Jihad tactic to get the Veteran Explosives badge. But I see more people are starting kick votes for C4 ramming. Foul players. Jihad is a fun break from the competition of this game.
I have been killed by Jihad users. Just laughed because I knew what they were doing. One of the best ways to have a blast at the game, but it does come at the cost of lost points through suicides.

I know the solution for that m8!!! It has happened to me a lot of times and now I've noticed that my awards don't show if I try to look at them exactly when I get them. If you wait until the round has finished and started a new round, then you can go and admire your new shiny thing. Hope that it works for you too....
I think you are right. Cause yersterday around this time, I got over 25 c4 kills jihad style on warlord(i love the little squadcars) and i retrieved my vet badge. The round was almost over and i felt like sleeping. Untill now, i dont see my vet badge in my stats. pretty fucked up. Next time i'll wait till the round ends completely, though it didnt care with other badges i obtained
some1 once told me not to quit straight after i got an award, cos they actually register (upload) to EA after the next map/couple of rounds later/get loaded. so wait untill the server loads an other map, then you can safely quit and be sure your award was registered.
