Hello everyone,

Im having problems i got a new graphics card the other week and its a wierd problem, walking around isnt too bad but when i get in a chopper or a plane my ping goes sky high, not ive looked into this and someone said it could be my settings too high, but my computer and graphics card should cope with this easily. Also i tried setting my setting too the lowest, still the same.

Here is my spec.
AMD Athlon 64 5200+ X2
2GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
600W Power Supply (ColoursIT) i know its cheap but it does the job.
ATI HD4870 512MB

In my opinion that spec is pretty damn good for battlefield so i should be able to have my settings all on the highest and it would run perfect but i dont understand this ping problem, crazy.

If anyone could help would be appreciated.

Well, that is most likly not you video card. When ur pings goes high does it lag reallly bad ?

make sure you drivers are up to date.

my drivers are up to date, its not bads the ping, its just annoying it sort of jumps, but it never did it before with my older nvidia 7600GT. nothing has changed.

Could it be new software running in the background?

well new software CCC program runs in background yeh, i thought if i disable this then i cant have all the setting ive set up can i???

It isn't your ping that is rocketing is it?- Your ping is the reading next to your name that shows up when your press Tab Ingame. (on the Leaderboard)

This value rocketing when getting in air vehicles is extremely, extremely unlikely.

If its just general stuttering, then try bringing down your video specs- if it works, gdgd, if not, then obviously its another problem.
