It appears Revis Island was not as isolated from the mainland as the vast majority of delusional Jets fans purported it to be. Enjoy watching a Super Bowl between two teams who have some degree of justification for being there.
you just have to hand it to manning... he's probably one of the best players to have ever played the game, if not the best. definite future HOF'er.

Regarding Revis, it was clear that Jets fan had put their hopes around Revis, and that "Revis Island" signified the Jets defense as a whole. Consequently, the Revis Island comment was intended to note that the Jets were stoppable, rather than Revis wasn't necessarily good. On that note, though, Wayne was limited to 55 yards, which isn't terirbly impressive. Unlike certain others, though, I like to look at all the stats when analyzing football games, and and I'll note that Wayne was targeted only five times by Manning, three of which he caught. Revis definitely forced Manning to throw elsewhere on the field (which seemed like an okay idea, considering how well the other Colts receivers did), but when he did throw Revis's way, it is not as if Revis completely prevented him from making completions. Perhaps you know slightly less about football than you think, and I know slightly more.
(Not, of course, that you would be expected to approach the situation with the necessary level of nuance to properly understand it.)
