So, all my shiny PC stuff comes tomorrow.

I've sorted out the HD problem - a mates lending me a external so i back everything i want onto that, format my current drive and work from there.

From what i understand about building, it's like lego but more expensive, and you can electrocute yourself.

I need to take my time, and get it right.

Can someone either link me to a good total idiot guide, or just post helpful tips. I shall take pics and stuff so you elitist cunts can see how amazing i am at sticking shit together.

It's easy, you will never mess it up. All you have to do is follow the instructions in the manual. For example, read the CPU instructions, when you insert your processor in the slot in the motherboard.

It will tell you everything. I just hope you don't go and cut the graphics card to make it fit Like some idiot, because his friend told him to do so.

the only thing that can kill you is the power supply... you could get a shock from the other components though... just keep it unplugged while you are seating the proc/ram and graphics card... then connect up the hard drive and DVD drive... plugin in... open dvd put in xp/vista disk... restart comp and it should boot the dvd... install... as a rule... if i am reaching inside the case... it's unplugged... and give it about 30 seconds after you unplug it...so the power is off...
