Was playing on wake yesterday and saw an enemy who was totally unaware of my precense, so i decided to go after him and knife him. i came all the way to him without being nitoced so i went for it, but he didnt die by my stab. so i did it again since he hadnt noticed it yet. even then he didnt die. i went on for like that for quite a while and i stabbed him eight times before he died. EIGHT TIMES when hes supposed to die in one or two.
Is it a cheat or a bug?
He called himself blade090 or something

Thing is, I can tell when I stab someone based of the sound it makes - i've stabbed someone 3-4 times once and not killed.

Anyhow, the guy could have been sitting on top of some medkits.

I've stabbed someone from behind and heard the stab sound and not resulted in a kill.

Somehow, I think that stabbing someone in the foot hurts more than the head. Twisted.

No he was a spec-ops and he didnt go on a medic bag. i saw the dust come of his back when i hit him and he also made the "uhh, ahh". I DID USE THE KNIFE AND NOTHING ELSE AND I KNOW THAT I HIT HIM

im experiencing this bug quite often - i think its because of the really sucky netcode and the bad coding of bf2. I hear the stab sound, see the hit animation etc. but the enemy doesnt die and doesnt even notice that i stabbed him. So at my pc i stabbed him, on the server i obviously missed him. When i hit him a second time without moving the slightest bit, he dies. So stabbing 2 times at the same point -> first miss, second hit^^.

Imo it's the commander's supply box. But throwing grenades on enemies' heads if they are wounded is amazing also.

There's already another thread about hit detection. Sometimes you hit somebody on the head [with knife, sniper rifle very often], dust cloud appears and you hear a sound of death and so and nothing happens. But I think we all know that ultra-annoying bug so let's stop starting new threads on and on.

i call this the lag hit miss, it happens regularly, and it happen the most with knife, but i think is more anoying when you do a perfect headshot with the sniper rifle and the guy doesn't die and you see the dust cloud, but is more likely to happend at close range, so that is why it happend the most with knife and sometimes with pump shotgun.

This happened to me earlier today, stabbed some guy in the back of the head 3 times and he didn't die.
