Didn't get to see the whole thing, as I was working around the house while it was on, but from what I was able to catch, it appeared to be a pretty good film (even had Demi Moore's pre-surgical hooters). Solid period piece, very detailed.

I'm thinking I'll have to pick up the book when I have time. One of those classics I've never gotten around to reading.

giant machine gun and rocket launcher wielding samurai, steampunk nazis, orcs, dragons, mechwarriors, and cute girls all in one movie - how do you lose? the cinematography was superb and made up for the somewhat strange plot.

meh, just plain meh.

It's basically ET but with copious amounts of explosions. It passed the time and there was nothing in the movie that was outstandingly terrible, but overall it was just meh.

In fact, the credits are better than the rest of the movie.

Public Enemies 6/10

Johnny Depp played his part really well but Christian Bale kind of sucked. It's a movie about the early days of the FBI and the manhunt for John Dillinger (Depp). While the action sequences were cool, the story itself deviated too far from reality for me to fully enjoy it. I'm not asking for a made for History Channel biography but they certainly could've done a lot better job with the facts pertaining to the story. Between that, and Bale's performance, I could only give the movie a 6. British actors should not attempt to do Southern accents.

Also, I know they were semi-folk heroes at the time or whatever, but the way that Depp played Dillinger I almost felt sympathetic towards a guy that robbed banks and shot people in cold blood for a living. Again, it's a movie but I think the glorification should've been a bit more muted...

Two Hands - 9/10

Excellent ! Never heard of it before, an Australian gangster comedy/drama. Original and funky with a fun interwoven plot , it's just a great Aussie production, and Heath Ledger again shows how talented he was. Only down there could a gangster wear shorts still be a bad ass haha. This is Australia's Resevoir Dogs, or Snatch, it's got the kind of feel to it, engrossing and enjoyable. Recommend this one to everyone.

Was pretty decent. 7.5/10

3D was pretty cool, and it seems like the effects and mechanics and everything have ben very well polished. Going from T1 where it was all kindof blurry and fast, to T2 which was good effects but a sloppy story. T3 hits both good points.
