Quick, throw more wood on my care fire! Seriously, I thought all their actors were going to die before they filmed it...in like 2040.Winston_Churchill wrote:

I wish they would've done the last three sooner so Lucas wouldn't have been forced to give it character rather than drown it in glossy CGI.burnzz wrote:
oh. the original, looking back, is pretty cheesy. but at the time there were no effects like those in any movies.
i stood in line for the release of the original 3, but they waited too long for the last 3 . . .

It got very good reviews. That suggests you probably just don't get it.-Sh1fty- wrote:

L.A. Confidential - 10/10
Dude, how is 8.5 a low score? I think we need to rethink how we're rating these, because everything gets 9/10.Kampframmer wrote:
Black Swan 8.5/10
It wasn't really my type of movie (hence the low score), but I already knew that before i started watching it. Be that as it may, it was very good. I also see why people found it so disturbingly weird, but it all fell together brilliantly and made the movie the masterpiece that it is.

Interesting to know that there weren't many special effects used.
In general, i don't think 8.5 is a low score, but for a movie like this, it is.ghettoperson wrote:

If i'd do that, most of my movieratings would be 4, with a few 3's, maybe one or two 1-2's and two or three of 5. I think 1 to 10 gives you a lot clearer rating. But there should be some guidelines made like you have with your 1-5Kmar wrote:

Pretty clear.

Yes, without a specific sentiment signed to a number the opinion is very general.Kampframmer wrote:

Some movies, fun or not, i just don't find worth reviewing. mainly it's because those movies are reviewed enough by just a number because people already know what to expect. (i.e: Movies like expendables)Kmar wrote:

If a movie is deserving of a positive review there is plenty of difference between liked it, really liked it, and loved it. That's all people really want to know. In fact most people just want to know if it's worth watching.
"I liked it a little more than just liking it but not enough to really like it" ..lol. It just seems pointless to me. Any opinion beyond 1-5 should be accompanied by text. Actually, I think any rating should have a review attached to it .. but whatever .

I think a rating system gives you a quick look at that persons opinion on the movie (if done correctly like kmar said) especially for movies that you've seen that aren't worth reviewing.Uzique wrote:
lets just abandon rating systems altogether because i mean, not many people here are film buffs so their attempts at quantifying their misinformed, uneducated and sentimentally misguided reactions to the films are completely futile and wholly arbitrary, anyway.
