Just watched Gamer

Entire first 2/3 I was like "wtf am I watching"
The last 1/3 I was like "meh"

3/10 at best

"Dexter" also felt completely awkward to watch, don't know if it was his horrible southern accent or just the fact we are used to seeing him as Dexter Morgan....

And the horny-dog guy who plays Peter on Heroes have now burned out those few good things I remembered from Heroes

going to see the king's speech, 127 hours and black swan tomorrow... afternoon at the cinema with 2 friends and the gf

im expecting good things from all of them, all for different reasons
Enjoy! Haven't seen 127 hours yet, but the other two are amazing.

I'm seeing Black Swan for a second time on Saturday. Didn't see it in the cinemas the first time 'round, and this one definitely deserves to be seen on the big screen with proper sound.

The King's Speech

9/10

All round there was nothing to really fault it on. Great acting, great drama with some mood lifting comedy, good pacing and an ending which left you very satisfied. Probably the best new film I have seen in a while.

Has anyone seen 'Exit through the gift shop'? I can't say I have any interest in it,  but RT gave it 97% and I'm assuming it's a load of overrated shite because it makes people feel arty, clever and political.

Not bad. It's informative on a basic level, but also know that that the entire show is told as a story, traveling from earth to the edge of the universe. Alec Baldwin is the narrator.. he uses narrative words like "it's lonely out here".. I mean, obviously they are trying to invoke emotional responses to the science of astronomy. But, tbh, it is tolerable. They aren't trying to mask it.

Funny film. Good watch, some of the effects were cool and it has one fucking bad-ass car in it.

Humour is spot on. Seth Rogan's just a funny guy.

Rare Exports - 8/10

Great, unique movie. I've not been entertained by such a wildly imaginative storyline in a long time. The Finns did a good job on this.

GI-Joe rise of the cobra

It certainly was better than what I had expected, tho' no fantastic film either...

It's obviously based on some comic book series I have never heard off, but it has a bit too much comic-book cliché in it to be believeable as a movie..

Have been wanting to see this since I saw a Danny Boyle interview a while back. Wow. What a film, definitely worth a watch, a truly staggering story. Will try and find his autobiography.

Not trying to advertise, but teach12.com has some very good college-level programs. If you have spare cash lying around for documentaries and such, subscribe to them and keep an eye out for courses that are taken down to the <$100 range.

I just watched Misery. 8/10. It was odd. Should I be worried about identifying a little with Annie?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You have a sick obsession with an actress (or actor, who knows what you're into) and would confine them to your house via hobbling followed by a plan to kill yourself and her/him?

Someone call the 5-0.

i thought the book better at conveying the dumb luck of the situation, and King's a better author than producer. man's gotta feed a family tho, amirite?

I quite enjoyed it. I have no clue what it has to do with DC Comics though.
