I watched that on HBO(or cinemax, something like that) last night, Christian Bale certainly saved it. I would have to defy great master Burnzz and give it a 7 though.

I dunno I quite liked the film. It tried to do something different with the formula of the series and even though the first two, particularly T2, are the best, it was still a pretty good action film. I'd have to say though that it wasn't Bale's best performance.

If you read the original script its a completely different film. John Connor was hardly in that draft.

Kingdom Of Heaven:  Director's Cut - 7.9/10

much better than the theatrical release but still lacks the emotional connection that made Gladiator and Black Hawk Down so great.  still, it's an exceptional, and generally underrated period film.

I don't think it is possible to be emotionally connected to Orlando Bloom - unless your a 12 year old girl.

he wasn't terrible but he was also the least impressive of an impressive cast.  Brendan Gleeson, Marton Csokas, David Thewlis,  Liam Neeson, Alexander Siddig, Jeremy Irons and Edward Norton all brought their A-games.  Bloom doesn't have an A-game.  he doesn't belong in lead rolls.

Match point

9/10

This was so engrossing, the story was told so well, and the there were a ton of good performances from the cast, I mean wow this really pulled me in, I felt sick in the stomach at some points due to the intense emotional ups and downs. It's not flashy, not over the top, just a good old fashioned story.

Woody Allen fan or not, this is a must watch.

Unfortunately the lead role is played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who I think is a crap actor, although he did play it reasonably well, this would have been a 10 if there was a more accomplished actor in his role, I think it would be perfect for Jude Law.
