And on that note... saw Sherlock Holmes about a week ago, not exactly what I suspected, but then I had no idea what to expect really coming form Guy Richie. A solid 8 if not 9.

Certainly a twist on the classic love story.

Until the last 5 minutes. Then it just became too "Hollywood". With a happy, predictable and boring ending. The rest of the movie was brilliant though.

The end needed a plot twist, and for Gerard's character to survive or take down everyone with him.

Hoping for an alternate ending on the dvd release.

Pretty much every review I've read says that it's the worst ending in the history of movies, and to stop watching 15 minutes from the end, but up until then it's a good film.

I'll watch it tomorrow night out of interest.

Sherlock Holmes 10/10

Awesome film, i enjoyed all of it. Exactly my type of film

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell - 6/10  the book was sooo much better but the movie had some funny scenes
