Need some good bands.
Got Pendulum already, but I need some other ones.

For the win to be honest, one of the best on the UK DnB scene right now- original and old-school sound, masterfully done.Vilham wrote:

Haha, quite clearly not what the OP was asking for, but I guess in an Internet Forum there will always be obligatory remarks turning their nose up at a genre or someone championing their own taste and selection
This post covers everything I was about to say.Uzique wrote:
I saw this thread and was going to post: 'In before misinformed shitty Pendulum referral'- but then I saw the OP had that covered .
Calling Pendulum drum and bass is like calling McFly heavy metal... such a wattered down, mainstream and cheapened version of the genre.
Please check these out, I implore you, you'll enjoy it 100x more:
Nu:Tone
London Elektricity (this one is categorically the only 'band', as in a live performing entity)
Logistics
Cyantific
Photek
Dillinja
High Contrast

Of course there are the varying genres of liquid funk, drill'n'bass and all sorts of jazz-electronica offshoots... but I think that's a good enough selection of 'old school' sounding 4/4 drum and bass to feast upon. Also there's the entire new and developing dubstep scene, which is basically huge drum and bass meant to be played on massive sound-sets at half-step speeds. Brilliance.
