Bush was ok until he decided to invade Iraq.  After that, things went downhill very quickly.  The fact that so many members of his own party hate him now is proof that it's more than just a media conspiracy.
both the house and senate voted to invade Iraq.. not just Pres. Bush.   and which people in his own party? the libral republicans or the conservitive republicans...

The Republicans with sense.  Some are moderate, others are very conservative.  Hagel is a moderate example, and Paul is a very conservative example (a true conservative, I might add).

But you're right...  The Dems screwed up by voting to authorize the war.  Of course, even if they had all stood against it, the Republicans would have been able to overtake their opposition because of their large margin at the time.

Well you lost my respect Obama, and I actually liked you.
Get used to it, if he is elected, I predict 4 years of race card issues..........Everything he is criticized for will be because he is black, and the people that are criticizing are racist.

Racism will take center stage over all issues foreign and domestic.......Race will be at the heart of every discussion, decision, and outcome. If he fails as a president, it will be because the white man refused to let him succeed..

Playing the coward card work for the Republicans last time.
Strange considering Kerry actually fought while Bush hid in the ANG and Cheney dodged the draft seven times.
It still puzzles me to this day how the Republicans managed to spin that one.
If you keep preaching anti war and peace you're going to look weak. It's not all that baffling.

A man who never set foot on Vietnamese soil because he was too busy hiding in a 'champagne unit' of the National Guard managed to paint a man who was awarded a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts as a coward...that's pretty baffling to be honest.

No you'll look intelligent, and that just doesn't do for a US President.
And pro-war anti-peace is working just great do you think?

yes, but I am asking you.
Oh, are you here seeking guidance? ..lol

I'm simply saying this type of "sympathetic" politics exist everywhere. It no different than McCain defending his age. The things people can not do anything about are not relevant to my decision. So to answer your question, you decide based on their position regarding the issues that matter to you personally.
Difference being I see people making fun of McCain's age every day.

i would not call Kerry a coward but perhaps a traitor after his testimony upon return to the states from his tours is more fitting.

it's one thing to disagree and write about it in your memoirs but when you do/say things DURING A WAR that undermines said war and comforts the enemy - that's treason in my book.  kerry is the worst.

Well that's possibly a fair point and someone in a position to criticise could validly raise it in an argument but a man who never had the cojones to put his neck on the line and make himself eligible for service while all those around him had to should keep his mouth firmly shut.

You'll find that there are very few people who actually enjoy war. Not sure where you're getting anti-peace from. The whole point of staying in Iraq at this point is to promote peace and stability in the region. (If that is what you are refering to)

I won't be voting for Obama.  I'm most likely going to vote for Bob Barr for 2 reasons.  Fair Tax and his stance on the war on terror.

Barr...

Against gay marriage, compared the war on drugs to WWII, voted for the war in Iraq, and he basically started clinton's impeachment.

He's got a lot of things working against him me thinks.

No, I have more issues with McCain than I do with Barr.

Atleast I can understand where Barr is coming from.  McCain doesn't make me feel comfortable voting for him, and Obama, well I have no faith in his words as I can't remember any legislation he introduced into the senate, good bad or indifferent.

The only way i'd vote for Obama would be for Cynthia McKinney to running against him and those are the only 2 choices we have.
