Fucking hell yeah baby, I knew it, they can't make a 1.5 patch for 214shit and not for bf2, it's just criminal. IF and that's a big IF, if this is a patch, then I reckon we got until at least the start of 2009 until BF3 (again, BF3 is a big if too).

What else would it be besides a patch? There's no other way to deliver updates to us.

Battlefield Vietnam was due a major patch(and still is) right towards its end, then BF2 showed up and the patch was never from again. Dont get your hopes up.

They could be server side issues, which means no patch. Or indeed, they could be issues with the master servers that require fixing.

Hmm.

What did they fix in the BF2141 patch?

Last year they made Highway Tampa simultaneously for BF2 and BF2142.
So maybe they'll do the same with the patch now.

I'll hope for one or two new maps.
Plus fixes for all that leaderboard hacking and screen name spoofing.

From the sounds of that email, I would say that that has to be a patch of somekind as it would require modding the core gamefiles, unless its punkbuster side?
I did read somewhere to expect news of BF2 after the 2142 patch, so this adds up.

Still, if they mention "several other BF2 issues", then I would expect a patch. Ive just passed all of my exams so Im all expectant as it is

Theyve said in some interview (I believe for 1.2) that they cant do it as it apparantly demands huge amounts of memory (and what would you do about the sniper/AT unlocks eh? )
Id love to have the FAMAS though.
