It has absolutely NOTHING on the UK version, in fact they really did it a disservice by comparing it. It also takes a while to get a show like that going, first season or two of UK were not at the standard the rest of the show has been either.
But if you turn off your brain and do nothing but watch a few guys mess around with cars for 40 minutes it is not bad, definitely worth the price. I wont be buying the TG:US Season 1 dvd... but I tune in every week as there is no hard in watching people have fun with cars.
The moonshine episode was even pretty good.
