They've used this song twice (that I can count) in the series now. Once in S14 Ep2 when the Stig was driving the Eagle Hammerhead iThrust, and once when introducing the VW.
Strange.
They also use that one song...i don't remember the title.
from 10:08 when richard is racing through the ice with the touareg.
they use that almost in every episode every season.

That?

no, it sounds more warish like.
I don't know, sort of sounds like requiem for a dream.

I use these forums to find out what the music is.

http://forums.finalgear.com/top-gear-episode-songs/

The tracklistings for ep 5 aren't up yet, but, someone said it was that, not sure.

Check that forum out though, it's really good.

this is the one

its a very cool song.

in the polar episode this one and the requiem for the dream song were basically the whole soundtrack of the episode.

Tribute to Senna and the Veyron speed run made up for a decent show. Skipped the celebrity bit and the snowmobile wasn't any particular worth. Would have been nice if they let Lewis go on the test track with the MP4/4 and see how fast he could nail it around the circuit. Those era cars just seem so awesome, take nothing away from how crazy the current cars are but with the wide track and the manual gearboxes and thin tyres the cars just seem much more fun to drive than today's F1 cars.

What pisses me off is how they've never really mentioned the Aero until today and even then it was just to show that Bugatti made a faster car. That American car just seems so raw for something so fast, whilst the Bugatti is like a smooth plane ride whilst going 250mph I bet the other car is crazy, definitely worth watching over the Veyron I'm sure

Top Gear don't really like American cars though, stupid still how little mention or footage the SSC Aero gets and how it was never mentioned until they used it to announce that Bugatti took the crown back

You are forgetting that Jeremy nomitnated the Corvette ZR1 as his best car of the year 2008 or something?
And Richard loves Muscle cars.
That Aero car just doesn't appeal to me.

Great episode. Loved the tribute about Senna as I didn't know much about him. Crazy driving, fantastic skill.

I remember them laughing at the bloke who works for Citroen being surnamed as Peugeot, but really they are the same company. Sort of like how GM has all sorts of brands.

I managed to watch episode 5 on Youtube before they take it down, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know why Mek doesn't like the celebrity bits (as he's mentioned in the past), as I've enjoyed nearly all of them from series 4 until now, even though many were people I'd never heard of. Plus, the laps seemed quite worthwhile this show.

DFox, you know what Mek's like, the siarpc bits are a good chance for him to sit down in a corner and cry for 5 minutes or so.

Mek, they're actually quite good, especially when you get a new lap record, the whole Jay from Jamaroqui thing etc.

The only good one I can remember of recent was Micheal Mcintyre, the rest were stupid... most I just skipped as soon as I heard the name. If it's a comedian I'll keep it on. If it's a racing driver I'll do the same. Anyone else is a pass

I must agree with Mek, the celeb interviews are my least favourite part of the show, but last episodes one was really good.

michael mcintyre is a fucking awful comedian... that's definite skip-through television for me...

DO NOT want to see him make inane jokes for a 15 minute interview and then drive like shite.

topgear's music production is always top-notch. lots of aphex, autechre, boards of canada etc.

Michael Mcintyre's appearance on TG (last season, I think) was excellent. I recall laughing from start to finish, he's a genuinely funny guy. If you skipped through it for whatever reasons, I think you missed out.

Though generally speaking SIARPC is my least favourite segment of TG.

sorry but mcintyre's brand of humour is for fucking morons.

i'd be more entertained by the comedic complexities of lee evans sat on the top gear sofa.

I have no idea what his "brand of humour" is, as I haven't really seen him in anything apart from the occasional appearance on QI perhaps. He was pretty damn funny in that TG episode and that's basically all there is to it.

jeeeeeeeesus you didn't suffer through the live at the apollo series? by the end of that i wanted to cut him.

cut his wrists.

vertically.

btw how can that be 'all there is to it' regarding a subjective opinion of comedy? douchebag.

McIntire, is that the little dark haired guy who talks too loud?

I agree with 'zique, he gets annoying after a while. I watched a few re-runs of live at the apollo - some of the acts were quite good, but I forget their names

I meant: I found him pretty damn funny on that episode, and that's all there is to it.

Happy to accept that you didn't like it / don't like him ... seeing as it's subjective.

And no, haha. I didn't see any of his tour thingy.

comedy is mostly subjective. billy connolly cracks me up, but i can't stand al murray for example.

ed- Jo Brand is entirely terrible though. this, we can all agree on.
