"A historic" is more commonly used, but "an historic" is also acceptable. The way I look at it, it depends on if the "h" is enunciated (a) or silent (an). Just be consistent throughout speech or a document.

In HD's format, the letter 'h' is pronounced, so: 'an HDTV.' If the acronym could be pronounced without using letters (for example, HELIOS), you'd treat it like a word. On the more amusing side, MMORPG can be pronounced 'mummorpaguh' if you have a sense of humor.

They were $50 here when I got mine. The joints feel extremely flimsy compared to the $25 Logitech one I had prior to the Fatal1ty. That and the sound disappears from the right speaker every now and then. Although that could be an issue with my sound card so I dunno.

I have a Fatal1ty headset - cost me about £20-£30? I've had it for years, now. It's fucking solid (dropped it many times, almost crushed it loads, too). Lasting me for ages and still holds its own. Sound isn't great, but I only really have it hanging round my neck to use the mic.

At LAN parties, though, its sound is still ok for gaming.

I would like a nice 5.1 headset, though...
