My gf's mom has a mac and macbook and I hate both keyboards tremendously.

i think generally, from my experience... the build quality... the reduced travel... the better tactile-response... the layout...
and of course the shortcut integration with OSX is a great advantage for anyone with the most basic familiarity

Do it. I'm totally sold on the awesomeness of this thing now. If you do get it be patient though it is quite different from any other one you may have used. This mechanical thing takes some time to get used to. I think it will be worth it in the end though. Oh and there is a definite noise in the speed typing aspect, but it is still very quiet and I kinda like it actually its kinda like a blackberry storm. Sure, they look nice, and are okay for on a laptop, but for typing extendedly? I'd prefer the travel of a normal keboard, or the alignment of an ergonomic one. The small buttons and ruler-straight keys aren't something that shout "I'm good to type on" to me.

I hate Apple keyboards. If you're seriously typing any sort of volume of text they are not great. Lack of numpad on the wireless models is a terrible idea. I like the older ones, like you got with the PPC machines. The new ones are all style over substance.
I don't like the magic mouse either. It's too flat. Not ergonomic enough for my tastes.
i think the new ones are fantastic... i've only used the wireless one w/ numpad, though. for a prolonged period of time, it takes the crown easily over my logitech g15 with its huge clunky 'gaming' keys.

I hate typing on mac keyboards for any extended time. I don't like the chicklet design. I guess it works fairly well in a laptop, not so much on a desktop. I dont see the point in space saving designs there. And it's not like you can't use any other keyboard with OSX. That it says ctrl on the alt key and alt on the command is hardly an issue. Or you can just remap the keys so ctrl is cmd.

They could do with releasing an updated razer mamba. A few small fixes and it would actually be the best mouse around
I would love one, but I'm just put off by the price. £80 now, or something, though. Better than the £100 release.

no matter what razer do it'll never fit as naturally and comfortably, for me personally, as a logitech
plus i find razer peripherals to be so... gaudy and garish. the aesthetic of razer gadgets seems to be 'throw shit tons of graphics, funny lights and layer it on a painfully over-emphasized form!' they look ugly. like toys.

I like their two-toned scheme of going about their peripherals. It's usually black with a highlighted colour. I wouldn't call them 'funny lights' and they're certainly not everywhere. It's interesting.

i do like razer mice. they're the only thing that fits my small hand, really but i hate the stupid fucking company image they have. the whole "for gamers, by gamers" bullshit. their stupid wristbands and giveaway lewt bags and whatever else bs they have just to promote sales. l33t.
