Furthermore, I prefer to pay for my OS. Id rather feel totally secure having a legal OS than a cracked one. Imagine if MS found a way to deactivate them, you'd all be fucked.

But yeah I prefer my OS to atleast be legal, Updates are nice and if noone buys the OS they stop making it.. so technically you "pirates" owe us "payers" big time... now kiss feet etc.

My OS updates flawlessly.
Technet or MSDN is the best way to "buy" Microsoft products.
FYI
Logitech.com is offering 35% off entire order using coupon code target_us_9901. Use code MIR15 for an additional 15% off on top of that. Free shipping with orders of $75 (before discounts applied).
Edit: Nevermind. Dead again.

They can't deactivate it permanently. People just work too hard to fuck them over.Winston_Churchill wrote:

I run a BIOS mod. It is impossible to distinguish my computer from a Dell OEM can without physically looking at it.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I'm sure if they really cared enough they could. Or at least make it so 99% of cracked copies wont work, theres always going to be a few people who know their way around it and put in the effort to crack it.Freezer7Pro wrote:

Considering that their latest and greatest security update can't even bust the most simple cheat there is, and that they've failed to fix the simple hosts file hack in Windows XP for the past nine years, I'm not feeling the heat.Winston_Churchill wrote:

I highly doubt they put their very best people on this stuff.Winston_Churchill wrote:

$70CDN
on newegg it was at $74.99
on newegg it was at $74.99
That is expensive for a cooler imo...lxcpikiman wrote:

I got a Vendetta 2 for ~ 55 USD and our prices are much higher than in the US... and I can't justify spending more than that on a CPU cooler
Vendetta 2 is better than a TRUE with a single fan...

Amazon has it for $60 right now. But I got two from Fry's awhile back for $35 AR. Still in the box.FloppY_ wrote:

I don't like the price of my coolers overtaking the price of my case...

Then stop buying such cheap cases (just kidding)FloppY_ wrote:

Just realised i put this in the wrong thread yesterday, so iv moved it to the correct one.
Got this lot http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … erclockers
They have overclocked it to 4.00GHz, put it all together apart from the heatsink.
And while i was there i got this as well, with 2 new hard drives.
Had to replace my Q6600 and 8800GTX.
Downside, i cant put it together myself, my brother will do it next week so iv got to wait at least a six or seven days looking at it all.
And a PS to Finnray, I could never build it myself even with your guide, i would be like the idiot in the other thread who cut his graphics card to make it fit!!

assembling PCs is like a slightly more difficult Lego
the only difficult part is installing the CPU cooler because it depends so much on the MB design, for me it was a bitch to install my new cooler onto the MB when the heat-spreaders were so close to the CPU area.
other than that it's common sense.

Just follow the golden rule: If you have to force it, you're doinitrong.
Pretty much the thing that requires the most force in assembling a PC is locking the CPU and the push-pins on the CPU coolerFinray wrote:

I've only ever had to do that once and I hated it. Screw push pinsFloppY_ wrote:
