Secondary monitor FTW.

Not so much bought today, as I bought it quite a long time ago but, never got around to repairing it, but I had my soldering gear with me at home for a change so I dug it out from under my bed and set to work on the innards, 20 mins later it happily reproduces some asian lesbians quite nicely.

I now have no idea what to use it for lol.

What resolutions are you on?

My main is 1680x1050
My secondary is 1280x1024

I can clearly notice a ~30% drop in FPS in games like Crysis & Fallout3

My Toxic is the 512mb edition tho'

512mB cards run out of puff when you put them at anything on or above 1600 resolutions, which could explain it.

nice find Panzer~ i picked one up soon after it was released, and at the time the GTX's were sporting 768mb, there weren't many options for the GT.
i wonder what 2gb onboard would do for you - we have a WS with a quadro 3800, it has 1.5 . . .

Same res's as you on both, and it's a 512MB GT. I've not benched it, but everything is still as silky smooth as it's always been so I'm seriously doubting I'm getting a 30% drop anywhere.

Second monitors are awesome for watching the Ashes whilst programming. Very soothing having something playing to reduce the frustration of stupid problems that pop up.

I always disable my second monitor before i game though. Sometimes i would find that my mouse had somehow escaped the main monitor and so clicking would take me back to the desktop. Very uncool.

Oh, my input. I run 2x 1280x1024, on Supreme Commander (Which uses both screens) I get around 22-25 FPS on HD 4670 512mB

I found a Roland AX-7 Keytar on ebay. I've been after one of these for a while (thank my love of Finnish Metal for that ><), and since production was stopped 5 years ago these are very hard to come by. But it's $1000 AUD.
